The Eagles are saying that it wont have a big effect as you can see by Reggie Brown's performance on sunday night (He replaced owens).
Sure the rookie had 1 game with 80 yards receiving, But is someone like owens really replacable?

I doubt it, I think the eagles will suck at they took a VERY bad decision through the whole process.
What should they have done?
Simple, McNabb as we all know is hurt in 20 different places (Exageration more like 5), Why not bench him then? Let your Backup Play and let Owens know how much better Mcnabb was. This would also allow Donovan to Recover and come back at 100%. Sure they may have lost 1 or 2 games to do so, but isnt it better then losing your team's star receiver, one of the leagues most outstanding receivers too?

The eagles are also stupid to take the side of one of their retired players over that of an active one.

McNabb has bad accuracy and can crumble under pressure (come back in late seconds of game) [see games vs broncos for proof]
Its his ability to avoid sacks, run, and make passes while hes being pressured, that make him a good QB.
McNabb is a good quarterback for a football team, but not too good for his receivers numbers.
A good fit for Owens would be an all out passer (NOT VICK) [Maybe Peyton, Eli, Brady]
I think hed fit in good with the pats, colts or giants because of how the quarterbacks there dont brag (they give the credit to everyone but themselves unlike owens who takes all the credit). How those teams are an all out passing team. Although all 3 of those teams already have amazing WR.

Where will owens be next year?
Salary Cap in NFL means that hes gonna have to settle perhaps for a team thats below .500
Im Thinking a Team with alot of space in its salary.
Teams he most likely WONT join:
Pats (coach would say no, and good wr)
Colts (good WR)
Giants (why change whats good)
Cowboys (dance on the star)
Eagles (like hell hes returning)

The teams that wont make it to the playoffs this year are probably gonna have drastic changes and try to have space in their salary cap for someone like Owens. Teams who also have alot of space in their salary cap or are in deep need of a star WR are also candidates.
And remember only Teams which ARENT based on the running game have a chance with this guy.

(Eagles pass on ~78% of their plays)
