Well for some reason I can't get my video resolution to work correctly for certain games. It works ok for Counterstrike, but I just got WoW and the screen is weird. No color problem or anything like that but it looks like it switches to 640x480 resolution and is stretched over to the bottom right so I can't see some of left or bottom of the game screen. It does this for diablo 2, gunbound, and gunz also; I dont understand what could be wrong.

I have a Radeon 7200 and i'm not sure what to do. My screen resolution is 1280x1024 and I have a TV monitor. Maybe that has something to do with it, but im not sure. Although, maybe my card does not support Dx 9.0?

I then ran my 3d tests from dxdiag all were good except 9. It seemed like 9 was off to the side like it everything was ingame.

In the event if it is my card, what would be the CHEAPEST dx9.0 supported card better than the 7200?

You got that kind of computer and you run with a ATi radeon 7200 ? Damnn!

XFX GeForce 6600 / 256MB DDR / AGP 8X / Dual DVI / TV Out / Video Card

This will be a huge upgrade for your computer. It's not cheap and it's not too expensive for a good video card and it's dual DVI

well i mean, I just need a video card REALLY cheap that will allow me to play WoW for now. As soon as the 7900 comes out im going to get the ATI 1800XT because it will drop down in prices.

The 1800XT will always stay in the top 500-600$ video card for atleast 2 years.

I work as a technician in a best buy and the prices won't go down for atleast 2 years.

So pretty much no lag at all? I mean I am getting 100 fps on cs 1.6 with a radeon 7200 right now. I have an overall pretty good system so it should handle without any problems. If so I think im going to consider getting the card like monday.

lol I have a Asus Extreme edition x700 Pro video card and I run at max settings and get a 30-40FPS all the time and I have 15-30FPS when in a city

I have a Amd athlon 64 bit 3500 + , 1 gig of ram
You won't get 100 FPS in WoW :P

I dont really care too much like about how much FPS. I know your FPS depends on how smooth it runs. But how am I suppose to know what FPS is good in WOW. I just want to know if a 9600 would be able to run with mid/low setting smoothly with little lag.

Get the 9600XT if you can , it runs as good as a 9800

I used to get 30 FPS everyone with a 9600XT

The one i posted you can run wow with no lag at mid-low settings, which is the 9600

Is it really worth the 30-40 extra dollars to spend on a 9600XT then a 9600 that I can get for 57$?

Plus I see that the regular 9600 supports 2.0 and the XT supports like 1.3-1.4 whats up with that?

ok , when ATI release a video card , they release 3 models , 9600 SE , 9600 normal and 9600 XT.

There is 3 different things. the 9600 is the low end , the 9600 is soso card , and the 9600 XT is the overclocked video card.

Reason 9600XT is the top is , it runs like a 9800 video card which is very good.
