Reformat your hard drive
If it still does that
You might have problem with your ram , cpu or your hard drive.

Isolate the clicking noise... aka take the side off it and when it does it again take notice if it is possibly a fan getting jammed up or if it is infact your HD... If it is your HD it is more then likely going to crap out on you soon. So my advice would be to back it up to your other hard drive and see if that fixes your problem.

Yeah that sounds like a bad HD to me. My sister's recently started doing the exact same problem. Solution -> new HD

If your running two hard drives install windows on both and run from each and see if either of them performs without the said problems...this is the easiest way to isolate it as a HD problem...however i have to ask whats ur cooling like in your comp...if uve got overheating issues then that can cause a CPU to act up. try that and let us know
