Widesceen Monitor

I have a widescreen monitor for my laptop and many of my game's graphics are being 'stretched' which is annoying, particularly Rainbow Six 3. I was wondering if there is anyway to stop this from happening. Thanks.

if it's not in the game options , I dont think there is a posibility , maybe in control panel
