Myself I would get this router, http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=299891&pfp=BROWSE , then I would buy 2 of these http://www.compusa.com/products/product_info.asp?product_code=292350&pfp=cat3 , it is basically plug and play man, real simple it is.
Shut off modem and pcs, take out old nic's and insert wireless nics. Turn pcs on 1 at a time, windows will detect new hardware, insert disc when told then move on to other pc. Once you have the wireless nics installed, shut off the pcs again.
Plug modem back in, wait 30 to 45 seconds for it to link back up, then plug in power to router which of course is connected to your modem.
Turn on your pcs. Bam your online. You can of course secure your wireless network but that takes a lil more work at which time ill be more then glad to help ytou with it.

DSL suxs nuts, so cabe is the win. And yes it will still work.
Couple of different ways someone cant use your signal, one is to allow it by mac address only, that is the easiest way

I have the better version that doc first selected as your router. Thing is great its the same damn thing only with a speed boost on it. Works great damn thing is all the way in my basement somewhere connected to my crappy desktop Intersting thing is the main cable goes straight to it then the desktop..... Speed=Slow up here speed=GREATx2 no joke. Crappy desktop blows.

wired is better if ti's directly connected since it takes less time to connect to something and greater speeds.

you have to configure your network connections if it didn't work the way doc told you

Well since this appears to be the time for wireless discusion...I've been having some trouble with my built in wireless. The connection strength is always either "Very good" or "Excellent", but the speed sometimes goes from 54mps to like 48 or 36mps and even more recently down to 1. It's starting to scare me. Can anyone think of a solution and/or what the problem might be?
