I need to upgrade my Laptop with a new processor and maybe a new video card. Anyone have some suggestions about how I should go about doing this and what to get? And for the record I'm aware that Laptops aren't as good as desktops and I don't need anyone reminding me thanks.

I'd buy a whole new laptop with what you want in it. Unless you know a computer store that won't fuck you over with a cheaper option available to your notebook specifically.

Well the thing is this laptop is new. I just got it for christmas so buying a new one would be kind of a waste. I think I'm just going to wait and see how things play out. Depending on what I major in college I might end up getting a desktop as well as using this laptop so we'll see.

You can't upgrade a laptop(meaning processors/mobo/videocards)
They only thing you can upgrade is the ram..which could help..

That used to be a true story... Not anymore. Laptops have evolved to a heck of a gaming level. I play wow on my laptop all the time as does doc, infact I think doc only plays it on his laptop now lol.

I meant like Laptops made by Compaqs, HPs, or Dells...athlough it might be possible, but not a good idea..Unless you make your own laptop...or get a upgradble alienware..

Your desktop pc must really suck to play on your laptop =/
My mom's laptop is a little better then mine and I wouldn't even play WoW on it. My 21 widescreen monitor doesn't beat my laptop :o

Talk to ur manufacturer first to see what they offer but then try and find a private company that might do it...absolutely under no circumstance try and do it yourself...unless you work on the manufacturer's design team...its just too risky. Laptops are a money pit so try not to get urself screwed.
