Majority of these certs coast some money. This summer im going to go ahead and get my basic A+ which coast i believe around 200$. If you know the information and can pass the test i dont believe there is a age thing but youll get plenty of looks for being so young but kids these days no far more about computers then many others.

i have ccna, ccnp, mcse, mcp(duh), a+/net+, checkpoint cert, and redhat cert. and im looking for a job.... why you ask? cuz i didnt goto college, half the places in my area could care less about certs if i dont have a comp science deg. its F'ing BS, i wasted ALOT of $ on getting certified to be told they didnt care... i have found places that would start me at less then i make selling autoparts, but i cant take a paycut, i have a daughter to raise.

Yep, there is a place called CLN (Computer Learning Network) that advertises on TV about their great teaching on the latest technology. So I went, took the basic aptitude test (Was like a gifted test where there are a bunch of nearly difficult questions with a short amount of time you won't get the all done). I butchered it because I was trying to answers things correctly and didn't know there was a time limit. I got like 29 out of 57 i think, the requirement was i think 12, sadly. So after I "proved" I wasn't mentally retarded we proceeded to talk about what I wanted togo there for, job placement, and career opportunities. When it was all said and done it came out to be like 13,000$ and they would get you certified with al of those certs you meantioned. I'm glad I looked around and found that by going to Thompson I could at least get an Associates degree because I know I could take certification classes anytime, and wouldn't need all the CLN offered.
