Is that an alienware? If it is I think you could have made it yourself much cheaper.

like cent said, you could of made something similar alot cheaper then what you paid.

i'm not a big alienware fan for one, and also aro and cent are correct the price you paid for an alienware you could have done yourself for a lot cheaper. if i were to spend that much money i would have gone with falcon-nw.

aside from that...very nice setup indeed.

ok i don't see the point in having quad video unless you just wanna say hey i have quad vids. in that case just change the config for it. so here's my buildup with some goodies. i'm assuming you have a monitor already.

notice the price difference. dunno if i left anything out though. i'm positive i can do the buildup even cheaper than what i posted but i just went to the first place i could find. also this company got the maximum pc kick ass award so they're comps have to be pretty good. i guess i can drop the rockin speakers and stuff for better vid, but if it was me i could care less about it and go with just a single vid.

Alienware is good because you get the warrenties and support. Other than that the setup you listed IS overkill for computer games alone. The setup is just overkill for the games you play and probably the most graphical game out atm. Most games don't "lag" because of graphics in the end anyways .. its because of server problems within the game. I mean look at WoW, they have the state-of-the-art server equipment and still people lag on broadband connections. The only reason I could see you actually needing this powerful of a system is if your in the professional rendering and video encoding business. I encode alot of videos for personal use and can tell you that a $1,500 computer is just fine.

Edit: I just wanted to add one last thing. It wouldn't be a wise investment to drop over 2-3k into a computer right now. With technonogly booming and newand better things coming out all the time, prices will drop probably 50% for the new stuff out currently. Hell, the technology used in XBox360 and PS3 isn't even out yet .. and THAT is the next big thing. So I'd suggest waiting for whatever NVidia and Sony has planned for release after the PS3 release because it will be big.
