windows 95 CD drive problems

yea yea yea. i know. it sux. this compy has 200mhz prosesser. im trying to load an emulator on it and i put the cd in the CD drive and i go to lok into it and it says the drive isnt ready. so i go eat dinner, come back and get the same message. whats up? do i need a new CD drive? i hope not.

I know back in those times i burnt out 3 CDRoms by playing D2 that much. If it's a sudden problem, it probably is needing a replacement.

upgrade your windows and your cd drive

You could probably find a used computer that is better than your existing one for less than you would pay for a new cd rom and windows upgrade. Check your local newspapers classified section, you would be amazed what people will sell for $200 or less just to get rid of them :)

thats not the compy im playing on. im playin on a HP pavillion a730n. its pretty nice.
