I've played DOD 1.6 for about 2 months now ever since I started playing CS. This game lacks graphics but is supreme game play. There are many diverse levels to play in and also alot of custom maps. The most common map would be Dod_Avalanche, which I mostly play.:) When you join a server it tells you about the battle that took place at the map ur playing. Each map that comes with the game is a real battle that took place in WWII. It shows the date and what happened. On some maps it is Axis (Germans) vs. Allies (Americans). On each team you choose what kind of person you want to be. Rifleman, Sniper, Support Inventry, or Machineguner, and so on. You get real WWII guns that real people used in the War. On Axis it is just the same thing but the Rifleman, Sniper, etc. is written in German. On other maps it is British vs. Axis. The British have a smaller choice of guns, but more powerfull ones. Also during gameplay when in CS they call out, "Fire in the Hole", it is when ur Allies in english, when British, in english with a British accent, and when Axis they say it in German. This game is seriously realistic considering all rifles are 1 shot kills while automatic rifles are 3 shot kills. Also a headshot is an automatic kill no matter what gun. The recoil in DOD is very easy to control. If ur spraying a gun just click and scroll ur mouse downwards towards ur target. Ur bullets go whereever ur crosshair is..unlike CS. Also u can hold shift to run but u do have stamina. If u jump enough u will run out of stamina. The stamina bar regains after while though so dont worry. I highly recomened you go out and spend the mere 8 bucks to buy this game. The requirements you need to play are very low so almost anyone can play it.:)
