When I grew up as a child in elementary I was always told to say you're. Staying that some one is something... Doc, you're a sick freak. Not doc, your a sick freak... Is that use some lazy grammatic joke or has the standardized american language adopted this atrocity?

Why are you bringing this up? If you wanna be "grammatically correct" then realize your second sentence is not comprehendable. You're a dumb ass :)

Also note my grammer may be horrible as well as my spelling, but I don't go arround nocking other peoples spelling/grammer when I get bored. Remember that farside

That's a pretty nice comment professor assumtion. Note how my pun was directly guided to your post above mine. See how this post doesn't falsely accuse people of something they didn't do? Awesome.

Typing on AIM and on forums is far different then typing a college paper for example. Sentence structure and many gramatical errors are over looked. Some are still honored but i would have to say everyone skips over alot of them.

The difference between saying "you're" and "your" is not noted in anything like a forum or instant message like scimitar said, and again like scimitar said, in a school paper...for your sake you use the correct term.
