PC for college

Well I will be headin off to college in a few weeks and I was given the ability to spend $2000 on a pc for college. Any suggestions on what I should get or parts I should look for? Im hopin to keep it something that I can still hardcore game with but at the same time have the power for multimedia and other college related activities

get a new intel duo laptop

dual core conroe = the best processor out at the moment

id go w/ at least a gig of ram

and a nice vid carD? :P

I agree, a laptop is clutch in school (I know from experience). You won't find anything more boring than some of your lectures, so having your computer to play WoW/Mario/Whatever is a godsend, and for 2K you can definately get a good one. Mine cost me $900 and it is decent enough to run WoW, so you should be golden.
