Well this afternoon I started experiencing some high ping issue with my connections. I exceeded 1500+ in vent and anywhere from 300-999 in CS. My current connection is with Charter and I really haven't had any problems with them thus far. Anyone have any suggestions as to what might be able to fix my problem?

wait are you using wireless?
cause if you are, move the router closer to your computer
and if your not, then i would suggest virus scan =P

Huh... very interesting... Either or I'd check your modem settings by typing in your IP address in the IE address bar. If everything looks normal there then your safest bet is a spyware or virus problem.

Check to make sure if you have limewire or any oher p2p programs off, also do a spyware check, make sure your not uploading anything in your torrents/downloading. Make sure that you have your duplex on auto.

Try resetting your router actually, unplug it for a bit. I have a Linksys WRT54G and every month or so of being on without getting turned off it has to be restarted. I think my last router firmware upgrade fixed it though. Also, start the computer in safe mode with networking and netstat -A(I think it's -A) and make sure you're not connected to any site you wouldn't know why you're connected to. Control Alt Delete and make sure P2P isn't still running even though you may not have an icon for it, and like 5 people said above, virus scan. ;P
