It is time Development in our games begins to expand beyond World of Warcraft and the other games we support, and for those that we do support we need to increase our activity. So, I'm going to be taking over the whole Game Development section, this will include me actually helping out and literally being apart of the "Development" team. Thus, to make a team we need Developers.

First, hear the objective. To expand our current games, and increase our activity in recently new, or popular games. Also, we'll be starting sections for games being released in the future - no one ever said it was bad to get a head-start.

To make this work, we're going to have to build a strong team of developers here. Take this as an opprotunity to let everyone know your capabilities, and show your potential in leading something. Here is what we're going to be looking for in a Developer:

-Writes strong reviews on old, recent, and upcoming games. Part of being a Developer will not be to kill yourself and write reviews, I want you to have fun. So if you want to write a review on the latest Nintendo game, or on the upcoming Xbox 360 then let it be.

-When a game is approved into JAG, a developer will be assigned to work within this game as a leader and to ensure everything is orginized and that the section will start out with support.

Please send applications to me through Private Message (PM), and I will read them and plan on appointing 2-3 Developers. There is no guideline to how you apply, design it yourself - be creative. The decision will be made by the administrators at JAG. Oh, and ontop of all this, see this as a great opprotunity to make new friends here at JAG. It seems the more people we get, the less everyone knows eachother and being apart of a team you will tend to communicate more and more with the people you work with.

Note: Current Developers must reapply, the position previously didn't seem to work. So everyone is being re-evaluated.

Thanks, and good luck to all those that apply. Applications end November 14th. Developers will be appointed on the 12th,13th, and 14th.

But like we were discussing in the WoW section about forming a alliance section, practically everyone agreed they need to be more situated in the Horde section more to do it. The same thing applies here, your gonna thin out what members we currently have to "create" new sections and stray from what few sections we have now. The CS Team and WoW sections are doing it's best I've ever seen them, but I could definately say that they need more work before you try for the third time at this idea.

Wookie, you make a point. But JAG can't live off of two games anymore. There will be new members, I am not asking the current WoW or CS guys to leave and play the game they love. I will find new members - fear me!

Make sure your developers recruit from outside the clan and not inside it :P We've went through Gunbound,Starcraft,UT2k4, ect and seen what you get from that :/

well i was a developer for cs but i got in probation lost my ranks but im ready to start fresh again so ashric you looking at one developer ;)

I think those who are doing actually development should be given the position. Those who were writing reviews also should have their developer tags left.

Also I would like to see JAGe- Shadow -=X=- as developer. He brought 3 new members to the CS:S section and is helping bring the section out of development. He has also been organizing the section in scrims.

Shouldnt get your hopes up? You were banned and you were allowd back but in doing so you lost your developer tag. Therefore you are not a developer.

Doesnt mean he cant recruit. Recruiting isnt restricted to just developers we all know this. They are just suppose to do more recruiting then everyone else while the rest of us play the game.

And if we decide to give everyone their new chances on the new forums then it is of equal chance for him to earn back the developer tag.

No need to purchase games right?
Im all for reviewing and talking about games I like, but leading a section...
well ill do it if you want me to lead a section into the ground.

No need to purchase the game, someone to write reviews would be a great start. Really after that just basic forum work, and just watching it so you can report who you think should lead the section, etc.

Farside is community developer thats all Biggs department still as far as I know so just continue to do whatever biggs has you doing.

well im trying to temporaraly lead a game i play.... gate to heavens.

im currently lvl 28 ( dam hard to lvl up around ma lvl lol ) and once i hit lvl 30 i can make a clan ( ingame )

thats where i should be able to get recruits.

Skyline if you read the thread - all developers must reapply. The moment I appoint a Developer, all previous Dev's will lose their titles except for Farside because he is Community Dev. and that I have no control over.

Hmm, seems preaty straight forward to me. Kinda silly of people to "name" someone as a dev when this is going on.

EVERYONE THAT IS EITHER INTERESTED OR IS A DEV NEEDS TO EITHER APPLY OR REAPPLY.

Thats completely retarted.

People who accually did their job shouldnt have their rank taken away from them. I ran this by you and you told me fps was my area not to worry about it and its cool to add him as developer. he developed the source section helped get the required numbers up. He accually developed a section shown activity and got a job done.

This might of "seemed" stright foward but no discussion of this took place. Last I checked I was a clan admin as well. I would of loved to discuss this before this was posted. I havent seen any ideas how to "make this work" if this didnt work the first time.

Wow more activity then before the section died the first time.
Cs 1.6 3x more activity since developers started.
Source Out of development and doing decent.

Definately worked alot better then any other attempt at recruiting and growing.

I dont see the answer being to totally scrap whats be done thus far with ppl and start over. We did that already and it set us back. Instead of wiping it clean if someone wants to take charge of it without knowing what ppl are doing they should review each developer and see what they are doing or working on.

we should discuss this more in the admin forum.

I have plenty of respect for Scimitar and Shadow before i make this post.. NO offense or anything but I just want to get the truth to be out there.. I have been finding the scrims.. Shadow I don't think has mIRC.

Simple, stop recruiting people to talk about games, start recruiting em to talk about sports.

Most people who wanna talk about games, want to join a clan and are most likely already in one.

What do we offer that other sports forums dont? Were not a one team club (Meaning were not http://extremeskins.com and all we talk about them) we just tell em about how we talk about all the teams, and it could even get interesting having people rooting for different teams. We already have a bunch of people with different opinions, and it seems like the football section is working good

the only thing i post about here anyways is sports.. although if i ever find one thats more active maybe ill hop there. Although its kinda hard to find a forum that regroups many sports, most of em are one sports only
