Reavers Tutorial!

In this tutorial, I am going to provide you with EVERYTHING you need to make this sig
http://null-vector.com/Green hair/greenhairtut copy.png

First! Your going to need these brushes!

Chalk Brushes:
http://null-vector.com/tut/chalk.abr

To install these brushes, download them to your desktop. Once their done downloading go to the hard drive you installed Adobe Photoshop on, and double click it, then go to Program Files, and then Adobe, after that go to Adobe Photoshop CS2, or whatever version you have, then go into Presets then go into brushes, and drag and drop the brushes you just downloaded into that folder. ALL DONE with the installation
if your having trouble finding your adobe folder copy and paste this into the address bar in your explorer C:\Program Files\Adobe\Adobe Photoshop CS2\Presets\Brushes

THEN YOU NEED THE TEXT!:

NEXT YOU NEED THE RENDER + THE C4D's:

C4d #1:
http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/pinky.png

C4d #2:
http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/redness.png

NOW! Open up photoshop!

Go to File > New (or ctrl+n) and make a 400 x 120 sig

Open up the render I provided (or your own doesn't matter).

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/1.jpg

Grab your Gradient tool, (G), make sure that your color pane is White then Black and change the Gradient to, Radial Gradient.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/2.jpg

When your done with those settings try and make something like this by clicking and dragging and letting go of the tool

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/3.jpg

Now go back to your render, and press Ctrl+A (Select it all) Ctrl+C (Copy it) and then go back to your sig, and press Ctrl+V (paste) Do this twice and move them to this position:

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/4.jpg

Now go to your smudge tool, (R), and select the chalk brush that I provided and use these settings.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/5.jpg

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/6.jpg

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/7.jpg

Now smudge the crap out of both renders trying to make a flow sort of like this:

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/8.jpg

Now that that's done paste your render in again and resize it (Ctrl+T and drag the sides down while holding shift to make sure its resized right) or you can resize it before putting it in but try and get it like this.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/9.jpg

Now duplicate that layer, should be layer 3, and then hide layer 3, and smudge the crap out of Layer 3 Copy something like this, take note of my layers:

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/10.jpg

Now unhide the layer 3 and set the Layer 3 Copy to color dodge, and drag Layer 3 to the top of all the layers, should look like this.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/11.jpg

Now open up redness c4d and resize it to this

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/12.jpg

Once you do that copy it over to your sig and go to Edit > Free Transform, and rotate it around to something like this.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/13.jpg

Now move it to a good spot right about here

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/14.jpg

and set it to color dodge, you should have something that looks like this.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/15.jpg

now open up pinky and change the size of it to this

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/16.jpg

now copy it to the sig and position it somewhere good!

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/17.jpg

set this layer to color dodge also!

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/18.jpg

Now hide the two c4d's that you just color dodged, and go back to Layer 3. Get a soft 32 px eraser with an opacity of 49% and erase the sides of the jacket that shes wearing (not a lot though)

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/19.jpg

It should look like this when you are done.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/20.jpg

Unhide the c4d's and were back on our way

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/21.jpg

Add a gradient map of black to white

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/22.jpg

set it to soft light 30% opacity

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/23.jpg

add another gradient map, violet to orange

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/24.jpg

set it to soft light 66%

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/25.jpg

get another gradient map, purple to green to orange

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/26.jpg

set this to soft light 40% opacity

Make a curves adjustment using these settings

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/27.jpg

AFTER ALL THE ADJUSTMENTS! Go to Layer > New Layer then Image > Apply Image, your sig should have all copied into a new layer, once you have done this go to Filter > Sharpen > Sharpen. It should look like this

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/28.jpg

Do another Layer > New Layer then Image > Apply Image. But this time go to Filter > Blur > Motion blur and use these settings

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/29.jpg

set this layer to lighten and 50% opacity, erase where you see fit.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/30.jpg

Do another Layer > New Layer then Image > Apply Image, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur. Erase around the focal and the effects you dont want hidden.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/31.jpg

Make a new Layer and grab your brush tool, go to your basic brushes, and use these settings, make sure to use a white brush

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/32.jpg

brush the bottom of your focal point should come out to this

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/33.jpg

Make another new layer, set this layer to Overlay and use these settings on your brush tool

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/34.jpg

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/35.jpg

were going to add another curves adjustment

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/36.jpg

and a black to white gradient map (were doing this to darken the image up its a bit too bright right now)

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/37.jpg

Set the gradient map to Multiply and 11% opacity

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/38.jpg

NOW ADD TEXT! And your done, if you want you can use the text I used and I will show you the settings that I used for the text! But if you wish to use your own text skip the text portion and go to the stroke portion!

Get the akihibara hyper text and use these settings 13 PT and this color #304a1a (to use a hex code click the color pane and to the bottom right there will be numbers just add those numbers in) Now once you have your name all typed in green right click that layer and click blending options.

Go to Stroke and select it and use these settings

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/39.jpg

Next go to gradient overlay and use these settings

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/40.jpg

Click ok, once thats done duplicate your text layer (Ctrl+J) then go to Edit > Transform > Flip Vertical

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/41.jpg

It should look someting like this now

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/42.jpg

Now move the flipped text below the current text and make sure they are aligned.

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/43.jpg

Go to your flipped text and right click it and go to blending options, make sure that stroke is deselected on it but leave gradient overlay

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/44.jpg

Now were going to create a layer mask click the button thats circled (not the f)

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/45.jpg

Now that we added a layer mask go to your gradient tool again (G) and make sure to reset your colors to black to white. Use these settings for the gradient tool
Make sure to use Black to transparent!

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/46.jpg

Now that you did those settings go to your sig and click and drag, make sure to hold shift while your doing this! try and get something like this

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/47.jpg

It should look like this if you did everything correctly !

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/48.jpg

Now go to the flipped layer and right click it and go to stroke and use these settings! Make note, the position is changed to inside! This is the color that I used for the stroke #304a1a

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/49.jpg

Now go to Outer Glow and select it and use these settings I used #304a1a for the color again

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/50.jpg

Now click ok! and were done with the text! Make a new Layer and get your marque tool and drag it all the way across and go to Edit > Stroke use these settings

http://null-vector.com/Green%20hair/51.jpg

AND YOUR DONE CONGRATULATIONS! :D
