graphics question?

i was just giving photoshop a test and was wandering ...... how do u guys add kool text to images

i can only manage to add the simple text which looks crap :P

so any help here would be grateful... cheers:D

Well im a noob at graphics but I know you have to download a font you like... Then you drag the font you like to your font folder in your control panel then run your Photoshop and now you can select it from the list...

over effected text doesn't always make a piece look good, sometimes it can do the opposite. keep it simple in general.
